A Blooming Affair began in 1973 as a flower showcase under the direction of Women’s Committee founder, the late Betty Thompson. Today, this annual event has grown to welcome more than 800 guests each year in a celebration of beauty, fashion and style as part of the Region’s annual Oktoberfest festivities.
The Child Witness Centre was honoured to be selected as the 2017 A Blooming Affair charity partner and are the grateful recipient of almost $1,900 – funds that will be used to support our work at the Child and Youth Advocate Centre.
The event, held October 4th at the newly-opened Lot 42 event facility, was alive with a sense of energy and excitement, reflecting the extraordinary efforts put forth by both committee members and volunteers to ensure the event was such an incredible success.
