The Child Witness Centre is excited to announce two special guest speakers from the world of baseball that will be joining us on February 16 for the 2021 Pancake Lunch, Pat Hentgen and Richard Griffin.
Pat, a Michigan-native, was a Pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays for 10 seasons, capturing a World Series in 1993 and a Cy Young Award in 1996, given to the top pitcher for each conference in the MLB. Pat retired in 2004 and was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016. He has also formerly worked in several different roles in the Blue Jays organization.
Richard is the Director of Baseball Media for the Blue Jays. He has enjoyed a long and highly-regarded career in baseball, previously working as a Columnist with the Toronto Star and as the Director of Media Relations with the Montreal Expos. A father of four, Richard knows the game of baseball inside-out.
Pat and Richard will be sharing stories about their time in baseball, including childhood memories from growing up around the game. They will also discuss why supporting and advocating for children and youth is so important to them!
Individual and group tickets are NOW available! Register now for the 2021 Pancake Lunch on Eventbrite.
