It is wonderful when our community comes together in support of local young victims and their families. And that is exactly what happened at our 2023 Pancake Lunch: 25th Annual Edition – while raising over $48,000 towards our work!
Event Overview
We were delighted to welcome over 430 attendees to Bingemans on Tuesday, February 21. Our guests included sponsors, partners, community leaders, supporters, and volunteers.
The event began with a warm welcome from our talented emcee, Angie Hill of Bounce 99.5, and a land acknowledgement from Kim Rodrigues, Executive Director. It was then time to eat, and there was plenty of pancakes, ham, sausage, chicken bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, and local maple syrup.
Angie kicked off the stage portion and our guest speaker Mandy Bujold gave an inspiring message on resiliency, from her experience as a two-time OIympic boxer. Kim then returned to the mic to share about our work with children, youth, and families. She even invited Monet to the stage!

Support Received
We are awestruck by the incredible generosity of everyone who was part of the 25th anniversary of our signature fundraising event. Vital funds were raised through sponsorships, ticket sales, donations, a 50/50 draw, and “Child Victims” book purchases.
The money raised will go directly towards helping local young victims of abuse and crime, and their caregivers! This outpouring of kindness comes at a time when we are facing soaring demand for our services and stretched resources.
We are grateful for the many sponsors, attendees, donors, partners, and volunteers who made this Pancake Lunch a success! Thank you for giving towards kids and families! Together, we are fostering wellbeing, resiliency, and stronger futures.
