Volunteer With Us

We are currently seeking volunteers to help at BINGO nights! We’re also gladly receiving applications to become part of our Fund Development Committee. Join us for a lot of fun while fundraising for local young victims and their families!

Volunteers with Child Witness Centre are valued members of our team – giving their time and talent to support the events, fundraising initiatives, and administrative needs that are essential for us to serve child victims and their families.

We utilize volunteers in a variety of ways to support the mission of our organization. Some examples of opportunities are:

Providing administrative and office assistance
Building maintenance tasks
Helping with special events including fundraising events and our annual Youth Symposium
Supporting our fundraising programs
Post-secondary placements to serve children and youth (email Ashley Backstrom, Special Projects Manager, at ashley.backstrom@childwitness.com)

To apply to become a volunteer with Child Witness Centre, please complete our online Volunteer Application Form and contact Sheila Bauman, Development Coordinator, at sheila.bauman@childwitness.com.

In addition to the application, all volunteers are asked to submit a resume, two references, and a current Criminal Record Check. Note if you are applying to volunteer at the Youth Symposium, you will require a Vulnerable Sector Check.
