Reflecting on the past year, a major highlight for me has been connecting with so many of our wonderful partners and supporters. I hope I have conveyed how grateful I am for your time, kindness, and generosity. With deepest gratitude for your support, I am delighted to share our 2023-24 Annual Report.
The title of this year’s report is "Driven to Overcome" which has significance in multiple ways. This year, we are once again working with precious children and youth to overcome the adversity they face as a victim on their journey through the judicial process and road to healing.
We are also driven to overcome our waitlist, which is only possible with your continued support. As of April 1, 2023, our waitlist sat at 180. At the end of our fiscal year (March 31, 2024), thanks to you, our waitlist was 122. As of September 13, our waitlist sits at 145 children – with the annual back to school surge in our intake.
Lastly, we are driven to overcome the limited government funding we receive as annual allotments. Last year, it only accounted for 22% of our total revenue. With other granting we competitively applied for, we received another 32%. Despite this limited funding, we were able to serve 1,011 young victims. 465 of these children were served because of your support.
We are asking for you to be a champion for the kids and families we serve. Share with others our need for revenue, volunteers, and survivor stories. I also encourage you to reach out to me directly with your ideas for helping us to overcome our obstacles. Learn about our Child Victims Can’t Wait campaign and please give if you have the capacity to change more lives.
