Since 1999, the Pancake Lunch has brought together our community for a wonderful time of learning, networking, and fun – while raising vital support for local young victims. Our online edition on March 1 will be no different.
Jo-Anne Hughes’ conviction that children should have a voice led her to begin serving with us in 1983, as she explains in this video. She would go on to help victimized young people for decades, as a volunteer turned invaluable staff member. With local young victims often trapped inside with their offender during the pandemic, they need to be heard and supported more than ever.
“The children we work with are our heroes… They were successful the day they told somebody that something happened to them.”
- Jo-Anne Hughes
