KITCHENER — A new advocacy centre for children and youth who are victims and witnesses of crime will open in Carizon and Community Services in Kitchener by December.
The centre opened in May, temporarily working out of the Waterloo detachment of the Waterloo Regional Police. But it's new home will be at Carizon, where the police currently have their domestic violence unit.
"It's one location where you can get it all," said Supt. Pat Dietrich, referring to other social services in the building as well as the crown attorney's office.
