$90,000 Funding Commitment Announced by Kitchener Rangers

The Kitchener Rangers, along with Rangers Reach, are wonderful ongoing supporters of Child Witness Centre! In continuing their amazing partnership, they're donating $90,000 over three years towards our critical frontline staffing and program resources. This comes as we strive to grow our financial strength and capacity to meet the demand for our services, and avoid the return of a waitlist.

This vital funding will ensure many more children and youth who have been witnesses or victims of abuse and crime are provided with extensive support to care for their mental health, navigate the judicial system, and ultimately have the opportunity to thrive at a critical phase in their lives. As we walk with these local young people and their families, their trauma will be reduced and futures will become much brighter!

It was awesome for some members of our team to be at the Rangers game on Sunday, March 9, 2025, for the big announcement about this funding commitment! After the pre-game ceremonies, our staff in attendance joined some family members to enjoy the game. In what became a close one, Kitchener won 4-3 over Guelph.

We are grateful for this incredibly community minded and supportive hockey club, and everyone who helps make their generosity possible! Learn about the last time Child Witness Centre received funding from the Kitchener Rangers here.
