This year marked our 21st annual Pancake Lunch and it was our largest gathering yet! We heard from a guest speaker, a former client of the Child Witness Centre, and welcomed approximately 650 community builders across Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County. A significant milestone was reached when we announced that we had surpassed our Safe Hands-Strong Futures community campaign goal of $2 million by raising $2,043,0119.
Thank you to everyone who attended for making a real difference in the lives of the young people we support. Your participation will positively impact the lives of children and youth who have experienced or witnessed abuse or violence, and their families, throughout Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County. The 2019 Pancake Lunch proceeds will support at least 35 young people as they journey through the criminal justice process.
Thank you for Joining Hands with us–you have directly contributed to building a community where children and youth are safe, valued and heard. We remain grateful for your partnership.
We are already beginning our plans for next year’s event – please circle Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 on your calendar!
